So on Thanksgiving I bought a Sony Blueray player online dirt cheap. It was on back order but I received an email saying it was shipped on 11/30 ( Strange because I did not think FedEx took shipments on Sunday). Anyway I check the tracking number and it comes up for a package that was delivered June 12, 2008 to Shelby, North Carolina. I look at my email in the fine print and see that Sony uses recycled tracking numbers and that it takes up to two days to be updated. Fast forward to Wednesday when my package info still had not been updated. I called Sony ( Outsourced to India) and all they can provide is the recycled number. I call FedEx and they have no record of any package coming my way. So I call my Sony friends in India and we have a conference call with FedEx. We all came to the conclusion that we have no idea where the package is, but Indian "John" assured me that it should arrive today or tomorrow. Did I mention that the outside of the box is clearly marked BlueRay Player and is being delivered to a construction site.
UPDATE:
Indian John was right and it arrived today 12/4.
